When the Wind blows South

If we learned anything from 2020, it's been that life can be pretty unpredictable. What happened in the past twelve months has left us all wondering what kind of lives we will live moving forward, what will change forever and what will be our new normal.

COVID forced us to take unprecedented decisions and travel unknown isolated roads. We learned the real meaning of a kiss and the true value of a hug. Friendships turned into desperate lifelines and loved ones became our main source of hope.

After 20 years, we said good bye to the home where we raised our two boys, celebrated birthdays and holidays, and shared countless happy moments with our dearest friends. We yearned for change, especially after our sons left for college. Ready or not, COVID forced us to take that step.

The wind of change took us South, to the beautiful city of Miami, a place where I could reconnect with my Latin roots. It has been two months since we moved. My heart misses the friendships we left behind, but definitely not the snow. I don't know what the future will bring or where the wind will take us, all I know is that I'm grateful for this life and that every day is a gift.
